Chantry Flat to Sturtevant Falls | Hiking with a Friend
Hiking from Chantry Flat to Sturtevant Falls in the San Gabriel Mountains. After recent Southern California rains, the falls are flowing strong as I take a good friend on his first hike along this classic Angeles National Forest trail. Hello there... This is a trail I’ve walked many times, but not since it reopened. With the mountains full of water and the forest feeling alive again, we take our time on the hike—letting the trail, the conversation, and the quiet of nature set the pace. John Muir once wrote, “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” This hike felt exactly like that. 🧭 Somewhere in the Middle — where Jessica and I share our life together, one experience at a time.
