This Cocktail was MADE for a Hot Summer Day!
Today I’m making and reviewing The Sunflower, a modern classic cocktail created by Sam Ross. While many cocktail fans know Ross for drinks like the Penicillin and Paper Plane, tiki enthusiasts may also recognize him from his work at Diamond Reef, the influential Brooklyn tiki bar that helped shape the modern tiki revival. Bright, citrusy, floral, and incredibly refreshing, The Sunflower takes inspiration from the classic Corpse Reviver No. 2 while adding elderflower liqueur for a unique twist. The Sunflower Recipe • ¾ oz Gin • ¾ oz Cointreau • ¾ oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur • ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice • Absinthe rinse
