Arranging Pastels by Value

A demonstration of how I arrange and organize my pastels by value and color to make it easier to find the correct color and value when needed in the future. I put a wide variety of colors in for various values. My skies aren't just blue. They are pink, green, orange, violet, yellow and even blue. The thing that makes it work is the fact that all of these colors are all the same value. When pastels are organized this way, I can grab the color and value (relative darkness to light) efficiently and quickly, making it easy for me to use a wide variety of colors in the various values that I see. It gives my paintings a liveliness that no other technique can.
