Cómo Hacer Esmaltes de AVENTURINA | Cerámica de Baja Temperatura - Paso a Paso

In this video, I share the process of making aventurine glazes. If you’re not familiar with them, these are low-temperature ceramic glazes (between 1040 °C and 1050 °C) that develop microcrystals—mainly iron oxide—during firing. These glazes are characterized by their unique sparkling effect, reminiscent of the natural aventurine stone, from which they take their name. They are especially suitable for decorative pieces, but are not recommended for tableware or functional use, so it’s important to consider this when deciding where to apply them. In the channel’s posts, you’ll find the recipes I used, along with the firing curve applied. This curve is key, as it includes several holding stages during cooling, which are essential for the development of crystals in the glaze. I’d love to read your comments and hear how it goes if you decide to try this technique. And as always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you for watching, and see you in the next video! 🏺🏺🏺 📷 Instagram: @carinadenner 📘 Facebook: Cono Sur – Cerámica Artesanal 🌐 Tienda online: conosurceramica.com.ar 📩 Email: [email protected] #ceramicglaze, #crystallineglaze, #pottery
