Wat Tham Krabok in Saraburi, Thailand

Wat Tham Krabok, literally 'Temple of the Bamboo Cave', is a Buddhist temple in the Phra Phutthabat District of Saraburi Province, Thailand. It is located on the route 1 northbound from Saraburi to Lopburi, around 25 km, half an hour drive from Saraburi center. The temple area has an imposing collection of sitting Buddha statues in a circle surrounding several more higher statues and two enormous standing Buddha statues. Everything in the area is built by the monks in the temple. We went there twice just to get a closer look and make some nice video and drone footage. I have later researched a bit about the foundation of the temple and the refugee camp that was established here with the Laotian and Hmong refugees after the secret war in Laos and Vietnam in the 1960-s and 1970-s. I found it very interesting also to get some more information of the successful drug rehabilitation that the monks have established here.
