String Pinsetter Maintenance: How to Check Proper Ball Detect Adjustment

If your string pinsetter keeps setting a full rack after every shot, an out-of-adjustment ball detect may be the cause. In this video, the Funk Bowling team shows how to check ball detect alignment, identify common signs of a misadjusted sensor, and use your phone's camera to quickly verify that the reflector is properly centered. This simple inspection can help operators diagnose cycling issues and keep their bowling alley equipment running as intended. #FunkBowling #StringPinsetter #PinsetterMaintenance #BallDetect #BowlingAlleyEquipment #BowlingMaintenance #BowlingEquipment #Troubleshooting #StringPinsetterMaintenance #bowlingindustry LINKS Website: https://www.funkbowling.com/services/... All of them work similarly. The, at the end of the day, the ball detect itself will be the same. As you can see now at the top, you have a green light. As you can see when I cross the beam, the orange light turns on. That means that the ball detect is out of adjustment. That's the proper adjustment. Out of adjustment, proper adjustment. When you're bowling, when the pinsetter cycles, you can see when the ball detect is out of adjustment, it's going to s- continuously set up a full rack. So if the pinsetter's operating, continuously setting up a full rack, the first thing to check is the adjustment of your ball detect. So a little hack for adjusting the ball detect. As you can see here in the picture, the red light on the reflector, that's coming from the reflector. So as I said earlier, you could tell from eye level by looking at the reflector if it's adjusted properly. But if you don't have the ability to get down and look at the reflector, you can always pull out your phone, and it'll also give you the image of the red on the reflector to show you that it is centered properly.
