String Pinsetter Maintenance: How to Perform a String Adjustment

Proper string adjustment is one of the most important routine maintenance tasks for any string pinsetter. In this video, the Funk Bowling team walks through the correct process for adjusting pin strings, including how to position the pinsetter, tighten all ten strings, and set them to the proper operating height. Performed regularly, this simple maintenance procedure helps keep your bowling alley equipment operating smoothly and your string pinsetter performing as intended. #FunkBowling #StringPinsetter #PinsetterMaintenance #BowlingAlleyEquipment #BowlingMaintenance #BowlingEquipment #StringAdjustment #BowlingCenter #BowlingTechnology #BowlingIndustry LINKS Website: https://www.funkbowling.com/services/... So to perform a string adjustment, the first step is to tighten all the strings completely, all 10. They're spring-loaded to the right, so if you push it to the left, it releases it. You can see that there's holes on these string reels. If you also look, you'll see that there's pegs on the opposite side of the string reels that go into those holes. By tightening them, you again, you release the tension by m- moving the string reel to the left and rotate it towards the back of the machine until the reel stops. You do this for all 10 pins. So right now all the pins are at zero, but that's not the operating height So to get them to the operating height, you wanna go two holes like I explained earlier, backwards, away from the pinsetter. So again, you release the tension and you wanna go one, two holes for every string reel. You can see the holes here, the pins. If you just slightly move it to the left and let it roll on the edge, it'll fall into place. In our manual, it's described as clicks. The reason why it's described as clicks is simply because it clicks into place. One, two. You do this for all 10 pins And that's a string adjustment. That should be done once per week.
