The residents of Via Montiglio, a narrow street in Rome's Casalotti neighborhood, were silent and shocked, where three people were murdered yesterday: two parents and their 8-year-old daughter. The father, Kamal Uddin, was particularly well-known. "We all knew him here in the neighborhood. He was a very kind person," says Laura Seminò, a resident of the Pineta Sacchetti area. "He was always smiling, helpful, and very kind," says Franca Bortolin. "He helped us carry our bags to the car outside the supermarket. It may seem like a minor thing, but for those who had difficulty lifting weights, it was a precious help," recalls Sara Greco, a representative of the "Difviamo Casal Selce" committee.
