Historietas de Segovia. Los Quiñoneros de Segovia

Chapter VII. For almost 800 years, between the 11th and 19th centuries, the territory of Segovia, divided into 11 sexmos, extended beyond the mountain range to points as far away as Pinto, Parla, and Navalcarnero, today belonging to the Community of Madrid. Some of these territories, difficult to repopulate, are the 'quiñones'. The knights of the four 'Cuadrillas' that made up the city (San Millán, La Trinidad, San Esteban, and San Martín) strove to repopulate those territories, sending peasants (called heirs) to generate more wealth for the city of Segovia.
