Yuba River Gold - Episode 79 - The 2022 North Yuba Nugget Hunt

The 2022 North Yuba Nugget Hunt was an epic gathering of the mining community. There was family, friends, Camp America, 17 American Flags, a patriotic sing along, nuggets, pickers and flakes. There was panning, sluicing, detecting, multiple prize giveaways, adventure, romance, offerings to Mother Yuba and loads of general merrymaking. The Magnificent Canyon of the North Yuba was spectacularly gorgeous. The weather was warm, there was no smoke in the air (except from the usual offerings) and the river was low enough to cross. You will never guess who found the biggest and the smallest pieces with his detector (or maybe you will). The planning for next year's Nugget Hunt has already commenced because as Topcat teaches "It ain't all about the gold." Apologies to all whose names were misspelled or mispronounced by the senior citizen who produced this video. Apologies to all the miners who attended but due to circumstances did not have their attendance memorialized in this video. That includes, but is not limited to, good friends Amy and Brent, metal detecting legend Ray Mills, professional prospector Chris Ralph, mining videographer Mountaineer Matt and several others. Attending in spirit but not in person (and hopefully never going to miss another Nugget Hunt again) were Rough and Ready Ron, Miner Uncle Steven, Miner Nick a.k.a. "Dozer", Miner and claim god Rick Solinsky, Miner Brother Bert, Miner Kerry O, soon to be married Miner Justin, Miners Bill and Devin from Team Old Farts, Miner fisherman Tucker, Prospector Jake and his Mom, prospecting theorist Adam (It all happened because Adam dreamed of California Gold), Petey, Kyle, Prospector Jerry producer of the best, but increasingly rare, mining videos ever, the original Mountain Mike, several LBPA brothers including Chris, Patrick, Ed and Jesse, and many more. It was Christmas in July for Tim. Thank you again for all the generous, creative, crafted and beautiful gifts that were given to Tim. Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making this so much fun for everyone. Next year there will be even more family, more friends and more American flags at Camp America. See you then LBPA Forever! Aloha
