Yuba River Gold - Episode 73 - 2021 North Yuba Nugget Hunt

The tribes have gathered at Petey's Place and the 2021 North Yuba Nugget Hunt is in full swing. We usually do our prospecting alone, or with just a couple of compadres. However, today our group consists of more than 50 goldseekers, family and friends. Nuggets, pickers, pokers, and shiny flakes of gold are unearthed. Mother Yuba bestows her glittering treasures on some first time prospectors. Old friends make more memories. New friendships are kindled on the river. There is a sense of community and common purpose. Our shared love for mining and the magnificent beauty of Mother Yuba bridges generational and cultural divides.
