Exploring Zestafoni | Georgia's Industrial City & Soviet Mosaics

Hello from Zestafoni! 🇬🇪 A major industrial city in Georgia, often misspelled as “Zestaphoni,” located in the Imereti region. The city is home to a large ferro-alloy plant that processes manganese ore from nearby Chiatura. We came here to explore its Soviet-era heritage, including mosaics and bas-reliefs. For us, the highlight of Zestaphoni was visiting the former swimming pool with its perfectly preserved floor-to-ceiling mosaic panels, hidden inside an unassuming building.
