Poti | A Quiet City Behind Georgia's Largest Port

Hello from Poti, Georgia! 🇬🇪 Today we're exploring another part of Georgia. The area around modern Poti was home to the ancient Greek colony of Phasis, founded in the 6th century BC. Poti has the deepest and most important port in Georgia. Sometimes it is called "Little Paris" due to its unusual city planning and European-style architecture. Poti is also a gateway to Kolkheti National Park, one of the most famous natural areas on Georgia's Black Sea coast. We visited the city at the beginning of summer, and it was quiet, calm, and very different after visiting Batumi.
