Epic saxon strap End! & Beautiful Relics - Metal Detecting UK | Minelab Manticore - 162

Join me for another few day smetal detecting in Somerset, UK with the Minelab Manticore, battling tough summer ground conditions in search of history beneath the surface. Although the dry ground and long grass make detecting difficult at this time of year, persistence pays off with a fantastic mix of finds, including a beautiful Saxon strap end, 1862 Queen Victoria penny, a George IV farthing, a Roman coin, Civil War musket ball, cloth seal, buckles, an Elephant and plenty of mystery finds that need your help to identify! In this episode I also chat about: The challenges of summer metal detecting in the UK Why the Minelab Manticore continues to impress Thoughts on the new Xp Icon detector as a great beginner and intermediate machine The importance of digging the less exciting signals Why patience often leads to the best discoveries šŸ’¬ Can you identify any of the mystery finds? Let me know your thoughts in the comments—especially the possible Dagger Chape, the unusual Buckle slide and some of the unidentified relics.
