HOWZAT?! A cricketing book tag

For the second week running I am doing a #tagtuesday #booktag on a Tuesday. See, I'm trying to get organised. This is a brilliant new tag created by Gavin at ‪@GenreBooks23‬ in celebration of what he says is 'the greatest sporting competition' The Ashes. So it's cricket themed and my knowledge of cricket is minimal. I was tagged by Gavin and also by Pat at ‪@BookChatWithPat8668‬ Thankfully you don't need to know anything about the sport for this tag and so I fully understood the prompts. Here they are. The Prompts 1. Opening Batsman: A writer who builds a solid opening of a book - or just a great first line. 2. Opening Partner: A writer who you've built a relationship with over time. #booktube #booktubecommunity #tags #tag #books #reading 3. First Change: Imagine you have finished a book you did not enjoy, or DNF a book. Who's the dependable author you will turn to, who won't let you down? 4. Middle Order: What are the last three books you've read that, were you to mark them out of 5, would get a definite 3.. 5: Wicket Keeper: Tell us about a strong or eccentric character. 6: All Rounder: A writer who you think is excellent in multiple genres. 7. Spinner: A writer who completely bamboozled and deceived you with a plot twist. 8. Fast Bowler: Tell us about a writer where you rate their short stories above their novels. 9. Chin Music: A book with a brutal or visceral scene that left scars. 10. Twelfth Man: Refreshments; suggest a palate cleanser of a book. 11. Tag others I'm tagging: Anyone who wants to do this tag. It was a lot of fun :)
