Ten rok stawia sporo wyzwań przed plantatorami porzeczek! Prof. dr hab. Stanisław Pluta

The 2026 season will go down in history as one of the most challenging for blackcurrant producers. Spring frosts, prolonged rainfall deficits, and then an extreme heatwave caused massive losses on many plantations across Poland. During the Porzeczka 2026 project finale, Professor Stanisław Pluta, a distinguished breeder and creator of the Tisel and Tihope varieties, was a special guest. Together with grower Dariusz Szymczak and Iwona Polewska-Jankowiak from Bio-Gen, they summarized the season and outlined the directions in which blackcurrant cultivation should develop in the face of ongoing climate change.
