I Found the Damage That Could End This Lotus Esprit Build
In this episode, I tear the Lotus Esprit S1 all the way down to a bare chassis. Once the frame is exposed, the damage and rust are worse than expected — bad enough that I don’t believe this chassis is worth saving. That discovery changes the entire direction of the build. Instead of restoring the original frame, I start laying out a new plan: fitting a later 1989 Esprit chassis under the 1977 S1 body. This project just got a lot more complicated. www.west-cam.com
