Tour through the Vitra Schaudepot: Thonet and bentwood furniture
Join us for a tour through the Vitra Schaudepot with Susanne Graner, Head of Collection and Archive at the Vitra Design Museum. In this tour, she introduces you to our collection of bentwood furniture created by Michael Thonet, the development of the bentwood technique and presents documents from the museum’s archive that inform us about the evolution of the Thonet company in the 19th century. At the Vitra Schaudepot, which is designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the Vitra Design Museum presents key objects from its extensive collection, creating one the largest permanent exhibitions and research sites on contemporary furniture design. #VitraSchaudepot More: https://www.design-museum.de/en/colle...
