Maybe get a little fitter and even look better in the end? Then jogging is actually the obvious choice. We don't need any equipment or a gym, just put on our shoes and go. But since we often want to see quick results, we naturally plan ahead, and the term "fat-loss zone" or "fat-burning zone" keeps cropping up. Jogging in the fat-loss zone is supposed to melt the pounds away particularly quickly. The fat-loss zone, or fat-burning zone, is approximately 60-75% of your maximum heart rate, also known as GA 1. We'll explain what this is and how we calculate it in a moment, but first let's focus on the concept of the fat-loss zone. Optimal fat burning in the body is supposed to occur within this zone, thus supporting us in the best possible way in losing weight. So, as long as we stay between 60 and 75% of our maximum heart rate, the body burns the most fat relative to the effort. Two aspects are therefore important: Yes, if we exert ourselves to the max, we burn more calories, but we are also more fatigued, may need longer to recover, etc. Furthermore, fat metabolism requires oxygen, so we need to be in the aerobic zone. This means we can still absorb enough oxygen, and therefore, as a guideline, jog at a pace that allows you to still have a good conversation. It may not be strenuous, but fat burning is underway. Lose weight properly with exercise Because the best exercise program is of no use if you consume too much energy in the long term. We have a certain resting energy consumption that our body needs to survive. This varies from person to person, and while some are really lucky, for others every piece of cake ends up on their hips. Then there's the energy consumption through activities, which of course also varies from person to person. It depends on what we do during the day. Exercise can help increase this consumption, meaning we burn more energy than we consume through food during the day. Jogging in the fat-loss zone burns a total of 8 kcal per minute, 5 kcal of which is fat. So one hour of running burns 300 fat calories. However, one kilo of fat consists of around 7,000 calories. So we would have to jog for over 23 hours at 60% heart rate to lose one kilo of fat while jogging. As you can see, that's a lot. I'm even ignoring the afterburn effect for this calculation. Although increased intensity also means more calories burned, you shouldn't run wildly, as that won't do your body any favors. Although increased intensity also means more calories burned, you shouldn't run wildly, as that won't do your body any favors. The goal should be to be able to run as fast as possible for as long as possible. ▬ About this channel ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ With "Video Visit Dr. Weigl," you have found the current, medical-scientific channel that describes topics related to pain, #medicine, and #health in an understandable way, but based on facts, guidelines, and studies. ▬ Even more videos ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Fat burning through HIIT - Now explained: https://bit.ly/HIIT_Video 5 common mistakes when trying to lose weight: https://bit.ly/Abnehmfehler_Video Losing fat versus losing weight: https://bit.ly/GewichtFettverlieren_V...
