Fly Fishing SE NM Hidden Streams-Rio Penasco and the Rio Bonito #flyfishing #camping

These are two creeks that are from spring water coming up and forming great fish and wildlife habitat. The Rio Penasco is primarily all on private land and requires membership and permitting. This is by far the best fly fishing on the east side of the Sacramento Mountains. The Rio Bonito has some fishing below Bonito Lake, but dries up several miles down stream. Springs north of Salazar Canyon form it back up and the BLM has two tracts you can fish. One north of Lincoln and one shout of Lincoln.
