Wind, Waves And Some Big Bass!!

I hit the Columbia again with    / @michaeljarvisfishing   We once again had a really fun day chasing some big smallies in the big waves. Just a typical summer day in the gorge. We both caught plenty of fish and a few good ones as well. My best was 19" that only weighed 2lb 15oz - talk about skinny! The day was almost cut short for me when my rudder stopped working. Fortunately after a little troubleshooting (while Mike helped by making fun of me) I was able to get it operational and I was able to continue fishing. I caught fish on a ton of different baits but the two best lures were the S-waver and a Megabass Vision 110 plus 1. I have not had much luck with jerk baits but Mike swears by the 110 plus 1. Once again he proved himself right I caught quite a few on it and my second biggest of the day. Only downside was losing 3 big fish on the day. That was just pathetic. That just means I will have to get them next trip! Weirdest thing is that I ran through a cloud of bats on the way to the ramp. I hit 3 or 4 of them before I could even touch my brakes. I felt bad for the little guys :(
