This time, we visited Rabbit Island (Okunoshima) again. It’s been 5 months since our last trip in November. The island, about 4 km around, is home to around 500 rabbits. We were lucky to meet many baby bunnies born this spring. Sadly, earlier this year in January, a heartbreaking incident occurred where many rabbits lost their lives. As we walked around the island, it felt like there were fewer bunnies than usual… Still, we had a wonderful time meeting so many adorable rabbits. At the same time, it reminded us how important it is for each of us to be kind and respectful, so the bunnies can continue to live peacefully here.
