In this episode, Rory sits down with Deidre, one of the courageous storytellers featured in The Golden Seam, a three-night theatre production that brought together powerful stories from women using their voices to inspire change through restorative storytelling. Deidre shares her experience of navigating the family court system and reflects on how restorative storytelling helped her reclaim her voice. By transforming traumatic experiences into something positive, she found a way to create meaning, healing, and hope. Created through a Restorative Storytelling Project in partnership with the Probation Board for Northern Ireland (PBNI) and funded through The Executive Office's Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Programme, this series amplifies lived experiences to help create safer, more connected communities.
