Potin–Possa Road to Remain Closed Until Declared Safe, Says Keyi Panyor DC

Keyi Panyor Deputy Commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti has informed that the Potin–Possa road will continue to remain closed until authorities confirm that the route is safe for public movement. The announcement was made after the DC inspected the affected stretch, where continuous heavy rainfall, multiple landslides, and unstable ground conditions have created serious risks for commuters. The administration stated that restoration work and debris clearance operations are currently underway. However, reopening of the road will depend on weather conditions and a safety assessment by the concerned authorities. Highlighting the importance of public safety, DC Nagarkoti appealed to people to avoid travelling through the Potin–Possa route until an official clearance is issued. She also urged residents to cooperate with the administration and follow only verified updates regarding road conditions. The district administration and concerned departments are closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to restore road connectivity at the earliest.
