Brewing Gesha Village - Lots E-15 & 40 | Coffee with April #183
This week, we brew two different lots of 1931 Gesha from the Gesha Village estate in Ethiopia. If you still haven't watched our video about our latest Limited Box, make sure to go back and check out our most recent upload. We decided that these two lots of coffee deserve more attention when brewing. In this video, you can find recipes designed to optimise the brews of both of these phenomenal coffees, optimised for our very own April brewing kit. If you want to see notes on the recipes brewed in today's video, you can see details below: Lot E-15 13g Coffee 200g Brew Water 92°C Water Temp 0:00 - 100g Pour (30g Circle / 70g Center) 0:35 - 100g Pour (30g Circle / 70g Center) Total Brew time of 3 mins Lot 40 11g Coffee 200g Brew Water 90°C Water Temp 0:00 - 100g Pour (30g Circle / 70g Center) 0:35 - 100g Pour (30g Circle / 70g Center) Total Brew time of 3 mins If you are using a Comandante grinder at home, we recommend starting with 25 clicks for Lot 40 and 30 clicks for Lot E-15. We did however use a Ditting 804 Sweet Lab for this recipe so you may need to experiment with your grind settings a little bit to match the brew times mentioned in this video.
