Audio-Technica ATH M40X - Review

The Audio-Technica ATH M40X headphones are a popular choice for inexpensive studio headphones. The M40X's sits at an accessible price point and have received many recommendations. In this video, I test the Audio-Technica M40X headphones with a reference microphone and audio spectrum analyzer. I share audio and visual comparisons of the M40X's against original recordings using a tone generator, music, and spoken word. I also review build quality and features for the M40X studio headphones. The M40X's are tuned to a flat frequency response curve according to Audio-Technica. While it is impossible for headphones to achieve a completely flat response, how do the M40X headphone measure up for producing sound with as little coloration as possible?
