Praised by Gendai Guitar Magazine for his “stunning technique and expressive power,” he is recognized for his artistic versatility and compelling interpretations across a wide range of styles and periods. In 2026, he was awarded First Prize at the Concerts in America International Concert Artist Competition, securing an 80-concert international tour across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia for the 2027 season. Since 2015, he has maintained an active international career as a soloist, performing throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia. He is regularly invited to give masterclasses and serve on competition juries, and made his orchestral debut with the Basel Symphony Orchestra as a prizewinner of the prestigious Maurizio Biasini Competition. His international career has been shaped by success at some of the world’s most prestigious guitar competitions, including first prizes at the Tokyo International Guitar Competition (2022), the Koblenz International Guitar Competition (2022), the TAIGF International Guitar Competition (Norway, 2025), and the Concerts in America International Concert Artist Competition (2026). He began playing the guitar at the age of seven in his hometown of Kavala, studying for one year with Alexandros Parisidis before continuing his musical education with Fotis Koutsothodoros, with whom he earned his soloist diploma at the age of 17. He later studied with Tilman Hoppstock in Darmstadt, graduating with honors in 2023, and completed his Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Alicante with Cum Laude in 2024. He is currently pursuing the Master de Concert in Geneva under the guidance of Judicaël Perroy. Alongside the modern guitar, he has developed a particular affinity for the Classical and Romantic repertoire on historical instruments, performing on an original 1831 Johann Anton Stauffer guitar. His artistic development has been further enriched through masterclasses with leading musicians including Leo Brouwer, David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia, Manuel Barrueco, and Sergio Assad. Filippos Manoloudis is a member of the Frequency Guitar Quartet, a D’Addario Artist, and performs on Koumridis Guitars. https://filipposmanoloudis.com --------------------------------------- Guitar: 1831 Johann Anton Stauffer (Romantic guitar) Strings: D'addario carbon medium tension strings Videography and Audio Production: Musik.Im.Blick - Émilie Fend https://musikimblick.de/ Filmed at Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium in Frankfurt am Main, Germany Recorded and produced for the Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts, in partnership with D'Addario --------------------------------------- Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @omnifoundation   Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts Series Sponsors: D’Addario, Augustine Foundation, Hill Guitar Company, Guitar Salon International, Alhambra Guitarras, Guitar Solo, Tangent Computers These videos are made possible by your support.
