I Tried Saarbrücken’s MOST FAMOUS Local Dishes 🇩🇪

◼︎In this video, I arrive in a new German city, Saarbrücken, the capital of Saarland, for a unique local food tour! This city sits right on the French border, and you can definitely feel the French influence, even in the local dialect. I started the day hunting down the famous €1 giant Fleischkäse Brötchen at the Globus supermarket. It was super tasty, and for that size and price, I couldn’t believe it! Then I headed back to the old town (Johannes area) to visit one of Saarbrücken’s most popular restaurants, Brauhaus Stiefel, where I tried one of the region’s signature dishes, the Gefillde. It’s a potato dumpling (Knödel) stuffed with minced meat and served with a delicious bacon sauce. To wrap up the day, I visited Die Kartoffel to try Dibbelabbes, another Saarland specialty, very similar to Reibekuchen, made with crispy, grated potatoes and served with applesauce on the side.
