Sailing Vessel Triteia - The Iron Genny - Part I - Episode 6 - Hoisting Sailboat Engine

On this episode of Sailing Vessel Triteia I finally get to bring my new-to-me Yanmar 2gm20f diesel engine to the boat! But first, some footage of me painting the engine bay and hooking up the bilge pump hoses. Then come a few stressful clips of me trying to get her out of my truck alone, rolling her down the dock and finally flying her into my boat. Some of this is Slow TV but I wanted to leave a lot of the footage in there in case anyone out there is thinking of doing this and is nervous about process. Using the boom and a come-along ended up being such a great way to do this making it very simple as long as you go slow. This is part 1 of 3 (I think) episodes of me hooking up the engine. The next episode will show me trying to get the prop shaft aligned correctly, address a packing nut issue and then on to hooking the system up in the following videos.
