Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. In this lecture, Sheikh Abdur-Razaq al-Badr discusses the causes and means by which a believer strengthens himself on the straight path and remains steadfast in his religion. Allah the Almighty said: "And Allah makes the believers firm with His word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter" (Surah Ibrahim, 14:27). The Sheikh explains the importance of sincerity before Allah, constancy in worship, following the Quran and Sunnah, supplication to Allah, and associating with righteous people. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "The steadfastness of the heart depends on its attachment to Allah." Imam Ibn al-Qayyim wrote: "The heart needs the remembrance of Allah just as a fish needs water."
