While I normally speedrun NES games, it's always nice to pick up an occasional SNES, Genesis, or DOS game. I was watching Ness7or9 play this and decided to do some retro achievements. Once I completed the game I decided I wanted to speedrun it. Haunting Starring Polterguy is a game I would rent on a rare occasion in my childhood, but was never able to beat. The dungeon is a pain in the ass, mostly because the movement is janky and the hitboxes for the globs are pretty specific. Also you never have to fight until the very end. Overall it's a different game and I enjoy it for that. There are quite a few unique animations, and they're fun to watch the first time or two. Emulator used: Fusion 3.64 Frame counted from first frame of fade-in on first cutscene, to first frame showing 1,000 points for final kill on boss - 50m 46s 033ms
