We discuss how the brand evolved from a simple product idea, why the initial entry point was China, and the role samples, minimum order quantities, and production locations played in the early stages of the brand's development. We talk about initial orders, delivery times, logistics, cash flow, and why product launches are often far more chaotic than many imagine. We also discuss the biggest mistakes and setbacks, the switch from China to Turkey, problems with inventory, significant quality deviations, lost capital, and why changing producers can cost an entire year. Marc also explains why contracts, jurisdictions, and quality control are crucial for success or stagnation in practice, and why purchase price, vision, communication, and personal contact with producers are often more important than a low purchase price. Finally, we discuss scaling, financing, and sales. We cover WhatsApp marketing as a central CRM channel, closed drops, early access drops, pre-order models, and why fashion is extremely capital-intensive. Marc explains why contracts, jurisdictions, and quality control are practically the deciding factors between success and stagnation, and why the purchase price, vision, communication, and personal contact with producers are often more important than a low purchase price. ___________________________________________ ➤ Find more from Johannes here: / johannes-kliesch ➤ Find more from Romy here: / romy-riffel-856922127 ___________________________________________ ➤ This podcast is produced by ONEFRAME Media: https://oneframemedia.de/ Topics: 00:00 Intro 00:50 Founding Idea & First Steps 04:00 Finding Producers: China, Alibaba & First Samples 05:25 Why Europe (Portugal, Turkey) Fails Initially 06:30 Minimum Order Quantities, Vision & Communication with Producers 08:00 First Order from China: Risk, Costs & Uncertainty 09:00 Logistics Reality: Air, Train, Ship & Waiting Times 11:20 Launch, First Sales, Prices & Profitability 14:00 Quality Standards & Perfectionism as a Risk 14:45 Moving to Turkey & Major Production Problems 23:00 Restart, Motivation & Finding the Right Producer 27:30 Portugal as a Turning Point: Quality, Strategy & Scaling 32:30 Producer Relationships, Vision & Better Conditions 36:00 2024 Sales & Lessons Learned 38:20 WhatsApp Marketing & Closed Shop 43:30 Pre-Order, Cash Flow & Inventory Financing 46:00 Margin & Reality in the Fashion Business 47:30 Future Vision, Growth & Investment Case
