LHF Running, Export Locomotives & NS 8025 in Efland & Mebane NC 6/2 & 6/5/2026

A couple of neat catches involving grain trains and exports locomotives on the NC-Line. I got word after work that an NS 098 with a trio of EMD GT46AC’s bound for export at the Port of Morehead City. While waiting on for 098 I’d also see Amtrak 77, and an empty grain train with an ET44AC and a pair of AC44C6M’s running long hood forward. On another day I’d get word that a 50X would be heading east with the Monongahela heritage unit on the point and an AC44C6M that was rebuilt from a CEFX AC44CW.
