74 - Rote Brummer

Between 1961 and 1964, MAN and Maschinenfabrik Uerdingen produced 80 VT24 series railcars and 55 intermediate cars. These railcars, nicknamed "square heads," were used in local, express, special, and fast services in Trier, Braunschweig, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, and Osnabrück, achieving high mileage. They remained in service until 2005 before temporarily finding new homes in Poland and Romania. The railcar shown here was 3D printed by @noba-modelle and is powered by Rokuhan Shorty motors. In 1944 and 1945, 4,700 wartime-style freight train escort cars were built under the designation Pwgs-44, based on the Gmhs Bremen covered freight wagon.
