Khomenko stayed on Capri for almost 20 years without leaving, - without taking his eyes off his work. The translation was based not on any one list of the Bible, but on the original Aramaic (the Semitic language of the Jews of Palestine at the time of Jesus), ancient Hebrew and ancient Greek texts. Ivan Khomenko worked on the translation for 23 years and finished it in the fifties of the last century. The second part (chapters 12-50) presents the history of the patriarchs and their families, describes the history of the origin of the Jewish people in the person of its forefathers - the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The continuation of the book of Genesis is the book of Exodus.
