Epic Freediving & Spearfishing in New Zealand | Crayfish, Kina & Big Porae

In this video, Quin (a.k.a. Kaimachine) and I head out for an epic freediving and spearfishing mission aboard the little yellow plastic boat, better known as the Banana Boat 🍌🚤. We spend the day freediving, spearfishing, and gathering shellfish, making the most of calm conditions and clear water. The ocean absolutely delivers, with kina (sea urchin), green-lipped mussels, a solid crayfish, and I manage to shoot a big porae, making this one of those dive days you don’t forget in a hurry. This adventure is all about spearfishing in New Zealand, sustainable harvesting, and getting out there with good people. Quinn and I have shared plenty of missions over the years, and days like this are exactly why we love diving, fishing, and exploring the coast together.
