Historia de Aragón T06xP33 | Sorpresas de la Zaragoza andalusí

We have always known that Saraqusta, Islamic Zaragoza, was one of the most important cities in al-Andalus, especially during its period as a Taifa kingdom. It was a major political and cultural center that, at certain times, dominated much of the eastern Iberian Peninsula and was one of the most influential cultural centers in Europe and the Islamic world. However, thanks to archaeological discoveries in recent years, it seems to be confirmed that the city was also much larger than previously thought, making it one of the largest urban centers on the continent in its time. What are these new discoveries, and what new insights do they offer? Archaeologist Miriam Gracia Martínez tells us. Program broadcast on Aragón Radio and produced by Historia de Aragón.
