SEPTIMO DIA DE MI RETIRO SOLO DE UN VIAJE A NINGUNA PARTE

SEVENTH DAY OF MY SOLO RETREAT, A TRIP TO NOWHERE. I woke up to a wonderful day, a video call with Garbi and Puffy. It was the best night so far, not a sound. I have a busy day ahead because I want to do quite a few things. I went to Campo del Soto to a rest area to empty my grey water tank, clean my toilets, and do a quick check-up. I saw that the road continued and drove a few kilometers up the hillside to a small village called Orle. I liked it a lot; it's even less developed than others, and the people were very friendly. I went back down to have breakfast at Suspiros del Nalón, a traditional confectionery with a large bakery. The 87-year-old founder was there and served me. I bought a meat pie, two tuna empanadas, several mille-feuille pastries, and a dessert called casadielles, which I'll have for breakfast tomorrow. I had a coffee and two delicious choripanes with the owner. I kill some time and head back down towards Rioseco, towards Fito's restaurant, La Puerta de Arrobio. I run into Fito with a pressure washer; they're closed until Saturday, so "plan B." A little further down is Merendero de Anzo. I park; it looks very nice. I go in; there's nobody there, it's 1:30. A charming place. They have a set menu for €12, and I choose it. While they're serving me, they show me how they roast lamb on a spit, which they do once a week. I'd never seen it before, and it seemed impressive. Everything on the set menu was very good, but the dessert deserves special mention: homemade ricotta with homemade honey. They created the petit suites from this dessert—indescribable. When I leave, all the tables are full. I bought a bottle of artisanal cider and a plastic drinking spout for dinner and went to the beautiful village of Ladines. I explored it and fell in love with it. To find a place to stay, I went to the parking lot in the village of Soto de Agues and explored it completely as well. I had a pastry with a hot chocolate for an afternoon snack, watched some videos, and then went to have a meat pie with the cider for dinner. I'll definitely sleep well tonight, hehe. The video is long because I want to preserve all these villages and routes. Thank you and see you tomorrow.
