OCTAVO DIA DE MI RETIRO DEL VIAJE HACIA NINGUNA PARTE.

EIGHTH DAY OF MY RETREAT FROM THE JOURNEY TO NOWHERE. I wake up in Soto de Agues and stay in bed chatting with Garbi on WhatsApp. I have breakfast with two Casadielles from Susurros del Nalón and a hot chocolate, all while listening to you. I go out and make a video call with Garbi, showing her around the town, and she sends me the video she made for HALLOWEEN. We're going to change course and head back to the sea, which looks like it will be clearer. I'm thinking about Lastres as a beautiful port, similar to Cudillero. It's 71km via Villaviciosa, but although there were two overnight parking areas listed online, both are blocked with chains, and I can't find a spot even after driving up and down that section of town twice, which is in terrible condition. I stopped in the Jurassic Park parking lot on the road to Colunga for a snack and tried again for the third time, crossing through Lastres once more. I gave up and went on an adventure, passing through Colunga and heading along a beautiful mountain pass in the Piloña Valley to Alto de Lama and the closed Esturcon restaurant. For all those kilometers, I didn't see or pass a single soul on a narrow mountain road covered in fallen leaves and chestnuts. After 33 km from Lastres to Infiesto, I arrived at a free rest area with 5 spaces and water filling and emptying facilities. The town isn't very pretty; it has about 2,000 inhabitants. It started to drizzle, so I decided to watch a movie. I fell asleep, and at 7:30 pm, I decided to get ready to go see the attraction of the day: the La Traviesa brewery, which, curiously, has active train tracks right outside its door. It's a bar with personality: punk, rock, kids and parents, older folks, me... all mixed together. I order one of their four pizzas and a small beer, and I'm surprised by the high-quality pizza with Roman pinsa dough and generous toppings. I compliment the cook, and he buys me another beer while I watch two kids playing pool. I walk the 800 meters to the rest area, edit this video, and go to sleep. It's completely silent despite how close the five vehicles are. Thinking about it, I realize I've practically made a loop, since it's only 18 km from here to Campo de Caso via another road. Thanks.
