# 475 Kenwood TS 940
Dream piece of equipment, but badly mistreated and damaged. We replaced the power supply capacitors and voltage regulator boards, replaced the screen and smiter lighting, and repaired the temperature sensor circuits for the power supply fan and PA amplifier fan. We also repaired the ALC, SWR, and power supply measurement circuits, replaced presets due to poor connections, adjusted the PA stage bias, and adjusted and optimized the NB. We repaired cold solder joints on many boards; it's a very large piece of equipment, which required a lot of work and time. The result is reception that rivals that of the latest generation equipment.
