The Incredibles: How to Be Your Best Self™

The Incredibles is, believe it or not, pretty incredible. The 2004 Brad Bird film is a blast of affection for the golden age of superheroes/spy films, a hilarious family film, and a surprisingly coherent story about identity and self reflection. Who knew? In this video essay, I'll be taking a look at a film I remember being absolutely gaga about back when it came out, and will be looking at it under the lens of being an adult viewer.
