We’re proud to award £10,000 to Jimmy’s Cambridge to fund a dedicated support worker, helping people move from temporary accommodation into more stable housing and independent living. Homelessness and housing insecurity continue to affect people across Cambridge. Through this grant, we’re helping provide the practical, one-to-one support needed to help individuals take the next step towards a more secure future and successfully maintain long-term housing. Jimmy’s Cambridge provides safe accommodation and personalised support to people experiencing homelessness across the city. The dedicated support worker will work closely with residents, helping those ready to move on from emergency accommodation build the confidence, skills and support networks needed to transition into independent living. As Katie Robinson, Community Engagement Specialist at The Cambridge, said: “This grant builds on our existing partnership with Jimmy’s Cambridge and reflects a shared commitment to helping people create more secure and independent futures.
