New ‘bank of mum and dad’ fund launched to support care leavers across Cambridgeshire
A major multi-year partnership between The Cambridge Building Society and Concrete Rose has been set up to enable the charity to launch a new “bank of mum and dad” initiative to provide vital support to care leavers across Cambridgeshire. The partnership includes a £22,500 commitment over three years from The Cambridge through its award-winning Community Fund. This funding has directly supported the creation of the new initiative, designed to provide flexible, responsive support at critical moments in young people’s lives. Delivered by Concrete Rose, the "bank of mum and dad" initiative will enable young people to request targeted financial support at “fork in the road” moments, acting as an enabler in times of crisis. The Cambridge has seeded the “bank of mum and dad” fund, and other organisations or individuals interested in contributing can contact Concrete Rose at [email protected] to support the initiative and help it grow.
