CULTURAL PERFORMANCES. Organised by - Positive Energy Art Foundation & Shillong Law College. Sponsored by - Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Venue - Shillong, Meghalaya Date - 01st - 3rd September 2022. The Positive Energy Art Foundation, Shillong & The Shillong Law College jointly organized the three days’ programme on “KA TYNRAI JONG KA LONGRYNIENG” (The roots of Identity), in memory of the Unsung Heroes of Meghalaya under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” 1st– 3rd September, 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Fedrick Roy Kharkongor, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Art, and Cultural Department as a Chief guest. Shri. Deepak Israni, Director Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav (AKAM) New Delhi was the Guest of Honour. The inaugural function started with the lighting of lamp and National Anthem followed by a welcome song from The Shillong Law College students. The welcome address was delivered by Dr M.P.R Lyngdoh, Governing Member of Shillong Law College, the Inaugural Address was delivered by Chief Guest Shri. Federick Roy Kharkongor, followed by the speech of Guest of Honour Shri. Deepak Israni and Speech by the Director of Positive Energy Art Foundation Dr Prakash Kishore. The valedictory function was graced by " Shri, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Culture," Government of India as Chief Guest and Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh, Member of Legislative Assemble, Meghalaya Shillong as Guest of honour. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Shariff Uddin, Principal of Shillong Law College, followed by welcome song by The Shillong Law College, Students. Subsequently, Honorable Shri. Arjun Ram Meghwal delivered the chief guest address. During the Valedictory Function, all the Competition winner were presented with Certificate, Mementos and Cash prize by the distinguished guest. The programme was concluded by the special item from the iconic performer, Shri Lou Majaw followed by the Valedictory Address by Dr Prakash Kishor, Vote of Thanks by Dr. Mrinalini Kharshiing and the Acknowledgement Address by the Organizing Sectary and Programme Officer Dr. Umeshwari Dkhar.
