Birding Costa Rica - Arenal Observatory Lodge Part 1

In early December, 2025, we visited Costa Rica for Birding. We stayed a week at Arenal Observatory Lodge, one of the premier birding locations in Costa Rica (though where isn't a premier birding location in Costa Rica?). Our first two days we hired a guide, Néstor Villalobos, to take us to different locations. The first morning we spent exploring the grounds of this wonderful place. I would highly recommend Néstor Villalobos as a guide. He was expert in finding difficult birds and knew where to take us for the best birding opportunities.
