I Stopped Over in Panama and This Is What I Found in 36 Hours

With just a 36-hour stopover in Panama, I set out to see how much wildlife I could find without traveling far from Panama City. What I discovered was one of the most accessible and underrated wildlife experiences I've had anywhere in the Americas. From the hummingbirds and trogons of Cerro Azul to the world-famous Pipeline Road, each stop opened up a new scene in the rainforest. Along the way, I encountered over 120 species of birds and several mammals, including Brown-throated Sloths, a Tayra, and a family of Howler Monkeys, all within a remarkably short visit.
