Developing front door frailty services webinar

Colleagues from health, social care and the third sector joined us for a webinar on 20 August 2024. Dr Elinor Burn, Geriatric Medicine Registrar at Leicester Royal Infirmary, discussed the British Geriatric Society’s advice on establishing front door frailty services (https://www.bgs.org.uk/FrontDoorFrailty), which she authored in autumn 2023. Teams from Glasgow Royal Infirmary and NHS Lanarkshire then shared learning from improvement work they are undertaking with Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s Focus on Frailty programme. These examples demonstrate how developing hospital front door frailty services can improve the experience of and access to person-centred, coordinated health and social care for people living with frailty.
