Especially the first rhubarb of the season tends to be less red, which can make the jam appear even browner. But don't worry! Here's a simple trick to color your rhubarb jam beautifully pink while enhancing its taste. By adding strawberries, you give the jam a natural pink color & an extra sweet note. Strawberries are naturally sweeter than rhubarb & their bright red color ensures an appetizing look. Try it out & transform your rhubarb jam into a fruity delight with a lovely pink hue. โน๏ธ ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ณ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐: How to easily sterilize jars in the kitchen: (1) Submerge jars in boiling water: Fill a pot with sufficient water & bring it to a boil. Submerge the jars (+lids) in the boiling water and let them sterilize for about 10 minutes. (2) Oven sterilization: Place clean jars on a baking sheet & place them in the oven. Preheat the oven to 120-150 ยบC & let the jars sterilize for about 20 minutes. (3) Microwave sterilization: Place clean jars in the microwave & heat them on high for about 1-2 minutes to sterilize them. (4) You can also sterilize jars in the dishwasher. Use a hot cycle & skip additional detergent. After the cycle, let the jars air dry completely on a clean towel or dishcloth before using them for jam making. To Peel or Not to Peel Rhubarb? Rhubarb has a thin but tough skin that can sometimes be slightly fibrous. While some recipes recommend peeling rhubarb before cooking, it's often unnecessary. The skin contains a small amount of oxalic acid, but compared to the content in the stalk, it's negligible. If you prefer to remove the skin, go ahead, but if you want to leave it, that's fine too. However, it's important to note that the fibers in rhubarb jam can have an unpleasant texture.
