Revealing the Rows Episode 5 - Treasures of the Rows
Liz Montgomery and Katherine Wilson take a look at some fascinating artefacts found in Chester which span the ages from Roman times through to the 18th century, and also tell us which are their favourites! Also, we see a very unusual Chester find, probably courtesy of Henry III’s royal menagerie. Also shown is a more modern highlight in one of the last Chester hallmarked pieces of silverware. Looking back again, we learn of the discovery of impressive remains of the Roman bathhouse, and also the depiction of sea creatures in beautiful mosaics. Part of the Revealing the Rows series of films.
