Sting describing Body by Lara. Exclusive interview backstage with Sting. Lara Hassan Sting's personal trainer spent years touring with the musician, training him around the world. Sting is known for his fitness and athleticism. Lara's approach is versatile, her sculpt workouts gave him the muscular structure, her movement based workouts such as gyrotonics and pilates emphasise allow him to stay agile, keeps his back strong and improves his flexibility. I started training Sting in 2006 and toured with him on the Police Tour; Sting got in touch for Pilates training which started in London and continued where he was based over several years. I interviewed Sting backstage during his last London gig before Covid; we talked health, got deep into his thought process, and the value of feeling fit, strong and in great shape for him as a musician. Sting is exemplary in the way he has managed to keep in shape throughout the years. With my help and since then his work with wonderful yoga teachers, he still looks in great shape at 70 years old! In fact, he suggested the name ‘Body by Lara’ to me. After a swim in his pool in Tuscany, he came out showing off his physique and jokingly said, “body by Lara, I think you should use this one day.
